Profile

I am a BACP Accredited counsellor-psychotherapist. I deal particularly with addiction(s), obsessions, parenting issues, anxiety, and depression. I have been counselling for 6 years. Before that I have worked in the mental health industry for 30 years, both in Canada and primarily in England.

My training is “psychodynamic”. I use a psychology based approach and employ a wide range of disciplines to support my work, including CBT and analytic exploration.

I have written numerous articles for the Newbury Weekly News using up to date information and advice for self-help.

I work with private clients as well as Employment Agencies, Counselling for the Local Council and liaise with local secondary schools.

I am committed to high ethical standards and confidentiality.

All living things will strive to move in a constructive direction. If the need to reduce anxiety is greater then the desire to move forward then problems arise and comfort will be sought elsewhere. Using counselling techniques and psychology theory, together, you and I will try to make sense of why things are causing you problems, and get you back on track, so that you can get on with living a productive life.

I have my consulting rooms in Newbury, close to the town centre.
